Hold the presses

We're finishing up day TWO of big boy underwear. And no accidents to speak of!
I thought the desire would never come, but thanks to a little motivation from Pixar this might be the final stretch.
The lesson?
I'll never stress about potty training again.
Kids will get around to it when they get around to it and no amount of pushing, bribing, humiliating, belittling, peer pressure, or rewards will do the trick if they just.don't.care.
Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!

Just wondering why although I bought THE smallest size of underwear available, they are still saggy.
My kid's a shrimp.

Woo hoo! How old is your little man? My twins turned three at the end of Jan and have no.desire.whatsoever. Ugh, so sick of diapers.

Congrats! It was Buzz Lightyear that finally got my guy trained and that was 8 years ago. Maybe I should stock up on the Buzz undies now that they're back for the next son I may never have because I swear there's potty training magic in them ;).

Um...yeah, he'll be four in two months. So, he's a little behind. But I just stopped caring and then suddenly he decided to care a couple of days ago. I've had two in diapers for the last 18 months. It's been real, but not real fun.

Awesome picture! I agree, they'll do it when they're ready. My daughter is getting ready to potty train. She asks to go occasionally but I'm not pushing it. I let it be too stressful and took way too long with my son because I was pushing him to do it before he was totally ready. One day it just finally clicked for him and I think that it will for my daughter too. I just have to be patient. Congrats on having so much success!

I've found that the less you stress over it, the faster they catch on!

Yay for Jak!! The Dr. started trying to talk to me about potty training Alex yesterday...not looking forward to having to do it again when she decides she's ready.

Hooray!!! We waited until Elliot knew what to do (and was doing it at daycare by taking on and off his own diaper and going potty) and then we talked about "running out of diapers" and it *happened* to time out to be Thanksgiving weekend. 1.5 days later - success. And here we are, a mere 3 months later and he's completely accident free!

As for undies - They're pricey but OshKosh makes a true size 2 (not a 2/3) and those fit our little man's tush great.

Don't you love boys' little buts in underwear?!

Yahoo for Jackson!! So glad for you that he decided to do it and it wasn't a battle!! We are big fans of "superhero" unders around here :) We've been saying to Lydia--"Don't pee pee on Dora" for a couple weeks now. Ahhhh--the life of a mommy :)
