Good Company

I've been so busy writing giveaway posts that I've neglected other entries lately.

We've been filling our days with out of town family much to Jakson's delight. I worry about the quickly approaching moment when he wakes to find our house empty save for boring old mom. I don't provide very much entertainment compared to aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas.

Case in point.... It was wonderful to have so many family members join us for Storey's blessing this past Sunday. I love that there is so much history surrounding her blessing dress. It was hand stitched (I know-HAND STITCHED-can you imagine!!) by Zak's grandmother for her two sons to wear over 60 years ago! Then Zak and all of his siblings were blessed in it as well as Jakson. What a fabulous tradition! Unfortunately, Storey decided to get really hungry just in time for pictures--this is one of the few pics where she is not screaming and that's because Grandpa is simultaneously swinging her car seat. A lady in our ward made this baby buggy cake for our family luncheon after church. Knowing it would ruin the cake, I had a hard time cutting into it-how do those people on Ace of Cakes do it? It was wonderful to have so many visitors. We will be sad to see everyone go back home. Especially Jakson. Now who will he go to when I tell him "No"?
