Coming Home

Last week we flew up to Utah so that we could be there when Elder Vermillion stepped off the plane (and consequently looked like he wanted to turn around and fly right back). Between traveling and catching colds, I haven't had the time or energy to blog, so here's a little synopsis of our week with the family.

In true Vermillion style, everyone had shirts to wear-this time without sayings, but with older (mostly unflattering) pictures of Tyler on them. We wore them to the airport just in case people didn't realize that all the really loud annoying people were together. Jakson even got a shirt....
Katy and Megan getting excited to see Ty!!
Tyler's plane was a little late, so Suzy spent the time wrapped in a "Welcome Home" banner asking passengers where they were flying from.
Finally!
Posing with Tyler and the family...
Jakson had a great time playing with his aunts and Uncle Tyler, not to mention being spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa-they even let him play on their computer something he's always wanted to do.
Future CEO.

What family gathering would be complete without the usual Vermillion sibling craziness?

Zak attempting to teach the worm-this is about 11:30PM. I had gone to bed :) Yes, I stole this from you Megan-hope you don't mind....

We also had an awesome (and VERY patient) photographer, Emily Nelson, take our family pictures on Saturday. She did a great job despite the insane group that she had to deal with. Here are a couple of my favorites. You can check out some more on her blog.

I was wondering what happened to you- Welcome back!!! Nice t-shirts, that's super funny- who wouldn't want their face plastered all over the family wardrobe!!!

Great family pictures.

I love missionary homecomings. Especially the airport part. That wait is forever. You just stand around looking in all directions, trying to see who can spot the Elder first. Love it!
