Breakfast Strike

For the past week or so, Jakson has refused to eat anything until about noon. I've tried to tempt him with cereal, fruit, even Ritz crackers, but nothing seems to work. He just walks around throwing tantrums until I stop asking him to eat. It can't be good for him to play at the park/go to story time without eating!! Has anyone else ever dealt with this strange behavior? Normally he's all about food..... I'd love to get some advice!

I have no advice, but I've been needing some. My child has only wanted to eat apples for a couple of weeks. Those pancakes look so good! I might have to visit IHOP this weekend. I hope Jakson exits this phase pretty quick!

I don't see anything wrong here. It means you can eat an uninterrupted meal of the foods you like. The hot while it's still hot and the cold while it's still cold. He won't starve. Kids eat when they are hungry. (Unlike us gluttons!)

We've been dealing with the same issues with Carson- boys are too distracted too eat- even grown men (too bad girls never seem to have that problem) Def no problems w/ Brynlee!!! I can tell when he has a growth spurt cause he'll eat a ton for a couple days. I'm trying to cut down on snacks so he is really hungry for meals... i don't know about breakfast though, that's our best meal! The other 2 are a different story! It doesn't bug me too much- I figure he won't starve...until twice last week he woke up in the middle of the night saying he was hungry. Grrrr. Now if he won't sit and eat dinner I make him sit in the high chair! I'm pretty sure I'll be reminding him until he's 18 to it..it's just sooo not a priority Good Luck!!!!
